The most random stuff trends on Twitter. Some of them are nice and funny:

But for the most part, the hashtags that trend are very, hmm how can I say this… LIKE THIS:

I sometimes wonder who comes up with these trends, and how they get started. Based on my theory of twittertivity, there is a secret group of internet users that wear only dark clothing and work primarily in basements armed with programs to spam other people and trend each other’s stuff. Or maybe its the far more likely alternative: some famous dude adds a hash tag to one of his tweets and BOOM. Trend.
